ABOUT ME

I had never really travelled until I went to college. When I found out that Professors get to spend their lives doing research AND travelling, I decided on that career path.

I do most of my work behind a computer, but I love to be outside and explore. I grew up in sunny California, where I spent a majority of my time swimming, hiking, and playing music. I have an unusual love for stuffed animals, cheese, white chocolate, coffee and meeting new people. I could easily spend an afternoon chatting with new friends at a cafe, or hiking up a new trail in a foreign place.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used couchsurfing when I moved to Nancy, France for the summer (June 2013-September 2013). Now, I'm back in California, and I'm looking for some friends and French conversation practice.

All sorts of dancing: hula, salsa, bachata, club dancing. If there's a good song, then I'm dancing. I also like most outdoors activities, but I'm not a very good camper. I enjoy swimming, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing or just sitting outside. I'm a geek at heart so I love mathematics, computers, gadgets, and technology. Finally, I love a good meal, but more than that, I love sipping espresso with a good piece of cake.
