I love to travel - whether actually going somewhere or reading about traveling, a la Proust. Some of the best moments I have experienced are with total strangers in a foreign land. I think if every person were forced to live in a different country every other year, World Peace is an achievable goal.

I have hosted quite a few guests over the years, and each in his or her own way taught me something new. I hope I have contributed a little to their experience in NYC.

I like architecture, photography and hiking. I like to read a good book on summer afternoon, or drink with friends on a night out on the town.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Summer in Inner Mongolia with my parents, the sun seems never wanting to set, and the moon already rises at the other side of the horizon. It's like a surrealist painting.

Getting up at 5:30AM on a summer day, in Venice, walking the empty alleys by the canals, getting lost until finding a cafe following the smell of the coffee. The gondolas bobbing at St. Marco's piazetta, no one is around except the sleepy waiters setting up the tables for the first customer.
