About Me

I am a translator and a Spanish teacher. Currently working part time at a translation company as a Project Manager and the reminder, teaching Spanish to migrants in Lavapiés, Madrid, where I have been living for 12 years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I will start a long-term travel along Africa and Asia in January 2016, and I would like to explore the possibility to get to know the country from dwellers perspective...

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I am quite ecclectic in my music preferences: I can equally vibe with Elvis Presley as much as with Sophia Charaï; But I have a very strong preference for flamenco music, for instance.
Movies: I am more interested in European and North African films - I've seen quite good films from Morocco lately...

Books: novels in general; History-based novels, LatinAmerican literature; Federico García Lorca and his endless capacity to make me dream, Miguel Hernández, from whom I learnt the sense of social injustice... Manuel Vincent or Gabriel García Márquez, Arabic Poetry (Mahmud Darwish, Adonis...); Mohamed Chukri and his Pain nu, this is one of the latests books I read which most touched me lately... Currently feeling very strongly for Naguib Mahfouz novels, as I am now able to see, smell, live the places and meet the people he describes in his novels...
And so many more I would like to know and read...
