About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Be Free, Alive and Open To The World that Surrounds Me

ABOUT ME

My aim is to live life to its absolute fullest and embrace opportunities as much as I possibly can whilst leaving the world a more just, equal place than how I found it.

I love having fun. I love travelling and being really present in the moment. Hugely affected by wanderlust, I have an ambition to see as much of this diverse Earth as I can in this short life and help as many people as possible. I focus personally and professionally largely on extreme poverty, which I have been working on both in the UK and overseas since I was 15.

I'm easy going and live by the philosophy of seize the moment: I am honest and grounded but am shaped by my central passion for being alive.

I am always trying new things and from fire-walking to speeches on climate change to working on a psychiatric call-centre, my interests are varied but always full of vitality.

I love the outdoors and am eternally drawn to laughter and spontaneity.

PHILOSOPHY

To be free and alive through a lens of unconditional love. To learn from my experiences and to help others. My philosophy has always been that whatever I do, I will do with my whole heart.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love surfing, I think it's a fantastic way to see the culture of a place without externalising yourself from local life as a 'tourist'.

I would love to show anyone around Athens, Greece who wishes it when I'm home and when I'm abroad the offer remains. I love meeting new people and the philosophy of this website: there is still kindness out there!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Australia, Spain, US and the UK so far, but looking forward to many more experiences!

Interests

I like being active! I love surfing, rock-climbing, being out in nature and dancing. I have recently started learning boxing. I am a clinical volunteer in a program for survivors of torture, and support with medico-legal affidavits for asylum seekers.

I love reading interesting and beautifully written books and spend a lot of my time singing and studying jazz, and writing poetry. The way I see it, everything is experience.

I love sketching and photography as well as adventure sports and debating. I love listening to other people and I try to never negatively judge people unless it has implications on the rights of those who surround them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the sky turn lavender over the ocean on the Island of the Moon in Bolivia. It was when I was 16 and the first time I'd been away from home for so long. It was at that moment that I felt calm and completely in tune with the world around me, and I haven't missed 'home' in the same way since.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think that spending time with people accross the world raises awareness of culture and is the best form of teaching.

I take life as it comes and anything that I can offer the person I am with, I will. The quality which I would most like to share with someone is hope, and what I most hope to learn is whatever I can. To find ways to bring kindness and effortless happiness into both mine and others' lives.
