ABOUT ME

I am a laid back fun loving person. I like to travel when i have money. I can be quiet and out of the way or social and involved depending on the situation. I am a good time for sure!

PHILOSOPHY

just trying to get through this life and have fun in it. love to meet new people, get to know other cultures, but also now that ive found a place i love (dc) i find i am content not leaving home as much. love being social and having a good group of friends. the first thing i do when i get to a new place is meet the natives. i have west coast style but east coast attitude. i am way too real, if i feel it and you need to know it, i will say it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have helped organize the welcome party to DC Couch Crash 2011 and attended NY Couch Crash 2011, and I donated money! I hope to surf again sometime, or at least go to events in other cities too. I used to live in a wonderful communal house in dc who host so if you need a reference I may be able to give one! But check out the couch description first to be sure it might be a place you would like to stay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been hosting ppl since I signed up and love the variety of surfers I have had stay @ my house. I have surfed in Portland, OR Charlotte, NC and Milwaukee, WI. I also went to NY Couch Crash after meeting so many awesome people during DC Couch Crash. I really want to go to the Philly and Chicago couch crashes soon!

This is hard to fill out... Too many! The main things are the environment, food and cooking, friends, family, different cultures, my community, relaxing...

I don't usually fill this out but...
Music: R&B, Soul, Hip-hop, Reggae, older rock, jam bands, bluegrass, wait, it's easier for me to say what i don't like- NO soft or hard rock.
Movie: Pulp Fiction, American Beauty, Trainspotting, basically dramas from the 90s, mostly from Miramax
Books: I like to read, WAY to many to list.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I think it's important to be involved in your couch surfing community. Get out and go to your communities happy hours and events. If you don't have one, set one up! It's so fun to meet all of your local couch surfing comrades. And that is quite the knowledge sharing experience. Also, going to the Couch Crashes is amazing, the best way to visit a city!
