ABOUT ME
i'm 28 years old and i study english literature and linguistics and anthropology. i'm interested in every form of communication, i'm fascinated by all the different ways in which people talk to each other and how they make themselves understood. each language is special and beautiful and a world on its own. it gives identity and even if it is divisive in so many ways, we will alway find ways to connect to each other even if the other person doesn't speak the same language. that is the beauty of mankind. and that is why i love traveling more than anything else. meeting new people, just living life, enjoying every moment and see the world. (when i grow up i wanna be a nomad. seriously.) until then; when not traveling, i love spending my time with friends, reading a lot and going to concerts. music is very essential for me and almost every experience and every memory is connected to the music i listened to at that specific moment in time. i'm also always looking for new artists and musicians and try to broaden my musical horizon. i love to talk, to discuss.. i have lots of fun stories to tell, however, i'm able to shut up and listen as well... i have a considerable knowledge of fun games, riddles and stuff and i am good at coming up with ridiculous and slightly insane things to do. i love laughing, having a good time and enjoying the little things. i'm a very content person, i embrace life and all of the unpretentious yet somehow wonderful things it contains and i stay true to what i believe in.

PHILOSOPHY
"the joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun." chris mc candless.
so true.
"it is better to travel hopefully than it is to arrive, for it is the journey that will change you"
"definitive death is the ultimate fruit of the will to forget, therefore the will to remember will perpetuate our lifes"

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
everyone who needs a bed, a place to stay for a few days, a travel guide... - write me.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
i had an absolutely amazing first couchsurfing experience: i was supposed to stay in newfoundland with jess for the weekend, ended up hitchhiking and bussing across canada with her. it was an epic adventure i'll never forget, weeks of beauty and happiness. it was unreasonable, i spent more money than i had but it was totally worth it.
Interests
literature (mostly postcolonial & postmodern stuff, plus, as much as i like novels and longer fiction, my heart belongs to short stories, poems), music (singer-songwriter, folk, blues (ooohh especially blues these days), ...), comedy, traveling, writing, collecting & telling stories, playing all kinds of instruments that i can find, producing all kinds of sounds, taking pictures, capturing life, hugging trees, wandering around, collecting shells, driftwood & beachglass whenever i'm near the ocean ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
it's not possible to name just one. it's the little things that make one happy, that are amazing:
it's listening to the song orca from wintersleep, when suddenly you see whales in the ocean.
it's lying on the beach next to a bonfire, looking at the stars, listening to the waves, waiting for the sunrise.
it's drinking the first sip of water after hours in the desert.
it's a car with an air-conditioning pulling over after hours of waiting in the heat.
it's having a hot shower and sleeping on a couch after a week of living in a car.
it's sleeping on the comfortable bed of a trucker.
it's arriving after a 75hour bus ride.
it's looking at the sunset behind the skyline of new york, standing at a beach in the caribbean, seeing the ocean for the first time in your life, running through the streets of san francisco, even if it's f.. steep, but you don't care because you're finally there.
it's going to a concert of your favourite band for the first time and they're absolutely amazing life.
it's looking at the grand canyon, speechless; magical places like rose blanche, burgeo, salvage, bay de verde, the red canyon and the anza borrego desert state park.
and it's so much more.
