ABOUT ME

I was born in Leningrad and lived all my life in St. Petersburg, except 4,5 years in Moscow. I have a degree in history from St. Petersburg State University. But after the graduation I spent 4 months in Germany as a volunteer, travelling each 2 weeks to a new place. Then I came back to Piter and worked as research manager at In Your Pocket city guides. I lived for more than 4 years in Moscow, working for an international news organization RBTH.com, covering news about Russia for an American audience. Although it was fun being in the big, bustling capital, I was very excited to return home to St. Petersburg in 2016. Now I work as a tour guide with small groups and individuals, specializing on bike and walking tours. And I also write for RBTH and Russian Life magazine.

I like travelling, reading, walking, meeting interesting people. making photos. I'm passionate about nature and culture. Love to ride my bike and swim. If you would like to see more, find me on Instagram @elenkabobrova.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Gave city-tour to nice german girl and was hosted in Helsinki, Berlin and London.
I really was amazed how hard is to find place in Berlin, but finaly I really enjoyed all people, who hosted me! Also showed the city to several people in St. Petersburg.
