About Me
CURRENT MISSION
pick out a place in the world to live
ABOUT ME
I'm always spinning around, studying, playing, travelling, working, meeting friends and new people.
Very busy, indeed, but I try and take life as slowly as I can.
I am a straightforward person, and I like my similar. I believe getting on well with the whole human race is utopia. But behaving in a polite and sincere way is basic.
I'm currently living in a small apartment with one roommate and her dog. She's also on CS, and we can exceptionally host someone on our (short) couch. However,a coffee together would be nice!
PHILOSOPHY
enjoy your life as much as you can. Even when your life does not enjoy you...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My old-time flatmate Lojzka first told me about CS. Then I joined and we hosted a number of people from all over the world in Trieste. I was "obliged" to organise a meeting durin Barcolana in 2007, and when I had to leave Trieste and go back to my hometown I started the successful "Dolomeeting (TM)" series. And I'm having a lot of fun! Since moving to Rome my CS activity has somewhat decreased, mainly because of a new job and all the buzz connected with living in a new city.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hosted a number of people when I lived in Trieste.
The real "guest" experience was in Hawaii, and it was simply great. Wonderful people in a wonderful place. I couldn't ask more!
Besides, I enjoy organising meetings, especially in the mountains.
Interests
Music, Flute playing, roller skating, hiking, climbing, cycling, salsa and tango dancing, swimming, reading, cooking...Yes, I am a COOKsurfer :-) I can drive a motorbike, but I don't have one, I love (and I need) meditation, rest and silence, at least for some time in my busy days.

Music, Movies, and Books
recently read (and loved) Meir Shalev and Arto Paasilinna's book. Luigi Meneghello's Libera nos a Malo and Fellini's Amarcord, Tiziano Terzani's Un indovino mi disse, and many many others.
As for music...I love Bach, as well as Jethro Tull...just don't make me listen to italian pop music, I find it pretty awful
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have always left this field blank...Maybe I'm just waiting for "the" amazing thing to write here
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Italian, some sewing and cooking (incl. vegetarian, vegan, special meals for allergic people), flute and music basics.
I can make bread and yoghurt with my own hands :-)
I'd love to learn to play chess, more foreign languages, another instrument, new dances...
