COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The first time I have ever surfed a couch was at Paddy O'Toole's (IRE) in Dublin before St.Patrick's Day and one more time on the day before I left Ireland on 22nd May 2010.

19/5/2010 - just came back from Limerick where I surfed couch with Grace O'Neill (IRE) and her family. It was lovely. I really want to stay longer with them so I left a day later than planned :P

21/6/2010 - I picked up and hosted Silvia (SPA) and Leo (ARG) for one night then took them to the bus station for an early flight in the next morning. They are the first couchsurfers I have ever hosted.

23/6/2010 - Torge and Anne (GER) became our second couchsurfing couple to spend the night at our house in Ha Noi.

July 2010: Met some CSers for coffee: Jennifer (TW), Ian (CAN) and Namuun (MON).

17/7/2010 - Mike (ENG) and Anne (FRA) are officially the third couple surfing my couch in Ha Noi :)

21-26/7/2010 - I hosted Alex (Ger/US), the brave single girl travelling across South East Asia on her own.

22/12/2010-8/1/2011 - I surfed Vinh's (VIE) couch in Vaasa. He's a friend of my friends so we kinda got along well for 2 weeks of Xmas and new year (yes, two weeks!!!). Vinh is a Vietnamese studying in Vaasa.

18/1/2011 - I met Johan (SWE) on his second day in Helsinki, Finland. We had coffee and talked. I told him couples of places he may want to check out in Helsinki and other cities in Finland.

9/7/2011 - I contacted Anne & Mike to ask if they can host me when I visit England. At the time, Mike was staying at his family place in Wallasey, near Liverpool so I surfed his couch. He even made me the true English breakfast!

11/7/2011 - I met Robert Gibbs (UK) and his friends. They saved me from Manchester's nightmares. I shared the Internet from my 3G connection when they were cut off of internet and we became Facebook friends.

In August 2011 - I hosted Benedikt (GER) & Fachrizal (IND) in Helsinki for the first time. Then I hosted Etienne (FRA). Couldn't remember the date. I also accepted couples of other requests but the surfers never showed up.

21-22/4/2012 - I hosted Clive (IRE) & Doratha (POL) :D in Helsinki.

24/4/2012 - I hosted Riccardo & Phelipe (BRA). So 7 CSers have surfed my couch in Helsinki exclude my Vietnamese friends ;)

29/6-1/7/2012 - I hosted Yusuke (JAP) on his on-going 14 month travel during the weekend. He then surfed my best friend's couch when I gotta go to work on Monday.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Arranged underground musical events during high school and got arrested 12 hours in the police station. Quite an experience.

Placed a 1000 EUR bet on going study abroad - I won! Not because I was lucky. Luck was only a part of it.

Lead a group of old students helping new students at college. Still doing it even when I'm not there. Internet and mobile phone are amazing, aren't they?

I have seen River Suck in Ireland, Sausage Road (Makarantie) in Finland and a lot of weirdly named places :P

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I know something about social media, networking and marketing. I'm trying to get better at photography so all the photo-tags are welcome :)

I'm drawing comics. Would love to learn more about using sketching/drawing applications :D
