About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To move through the world with an open mind and an attitude of love

ABOUT ME

I am passionate about sustainable development and maintaining or developing community. I love meeting new people and learning about their homes, friends, families and world views. I caught the travel bug many years ago when I explored Europe on my first big independent trip and since then I have travelled whenever funds have allowed. I studied in Malaysia at the end of 2011 and travelled south east asia once the semester ended.
I have travelled and couchsurfed through the Americas, and most recently rode a bicycle through Eastern Europe, meeting some amazing people along the way.
I really enjoy making things, getting my creative side going. I love exploring new places and meeting new people. I have always loved the outdoors and working to create new things from old.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love opening my home and my city to people and hearing about their travels, listening to new music and sharing meals. I believe community is an incredibly important part of being human and couchsurfing is one fantastic global way in which this can happen.
I had the most amazing experiences through Eastern Europe, where I cycled for several months with my partner and were hosted by so many incredible people, many of whom will be long time friends :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Fantastic! Every time has been an immense experiences, enriching my travel.

Interests

I am really interested in music and learning languages.I also love playing sport, particularly field hockey, and get a thrill out of being active. I often ride, swim and run but am always keen to try out new things and develop new skills!

Movies: little miss sunshine, moonrise kingdom, there will be blood, im not a huge movie watcher though!
Books: 1984, Cien anos de soledad, the great gatsby, his dark materials series, grapes of wrath,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled the Australian outback for 2 months in a tent with my family. Not too out of the ordinary but such a fantastic experience. I have recently gone back to central Australia with friends, a road trip in an 8-seater 4wd full of people and loaded with gear on the roof. That was a sight to see! The stars in the desert were the most amazing display i have seen. There were more dtars than dark sky.

Teach, Learn, Share

Ultimate frisbee, field hockey, how to scream at the ocean. Scattered information about renewable energies, climate change and decentralised water sources, its interesting I swear!
