Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing to me is all about friendship.
We all seek those that inspire us, and I believe everyone is uniquely inspiring in their own way. And what better inspiration than sharing cultures and travel stories?
I love deep questions, and skill-sharing. I like to meet with the seldom-seen side of any new place be it an abandoned building or a hideaway in an old growth forest.
Interests
My lifelong study is ecology.
I also have an interest in list making:
Permaculture, herbalism, eastern philosophy, nutrition, natural building, open-source ecology, appropriate technology, human-powered infrastructure, community-made media.
When I'm not sleeping, I'm probably collaborating on a ridiculous grand idea to perform and take on tour, running into the ocean naked, or biking into the horizon.

Music, Movies, and Books
There's few sounds I love more than listening to my friends making music. I've been in a few bands… I’m a drummer/vocalist/floutist, and I like to play improv, psychedelic, punk, acoustic trance, improv jazz, freak/grunge folk, global fusion//folk, medicine, Gaian, and experimental.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve crossed the US with a traveling circus on a schoolbus, bike-toured with a performance troupe down the pacific coast, performed with 30-foot paper mache puppets in Vermont, made documentaries, painted murals, installed permaculture food forests, and now plotting what’s next!
Teach, Learn, Share
“Tell me, and I forget. Show me, and I remember. Involve me, and I understand.”
I can teach you about Japanese cooking, compassionate communication, tantra & zen, dance, and using your imagination.
