Overview
About Me
He/him. I'm a teacher in public education in the United States. I work in a low-income school that's also highly marginalized (95% Latino). This European trip is to show my students that even if you're poor, you can have big dreams.
I was in the Army for six years (spent time stationed in Japan and Korea). I've taught English as a Second Language twice in Korea. I'm asexual and LGBT+ friendly. I'm in a committed relationship.
I enjoy hanging out at coffee shops, whether its talking with others or just reading books. I love outdoor life. I'm an avid day-hiker; I spend more hours outdoors than indoors.
I love getting outside American culture, experiencing new places, and meeting new people.
My friends would tell you I'll be there for you when you need it, and I'm more than willing to help anyone out. In large groups I'm more reserved, and I'll be the first to admit my comfort zone is in small group dynamics that allow people to get to know each other beyond a peripheral sense.
I'm Korean, Mexican, Black, and German.
PHILOSOPHY
Drive to nowhere, you'll end up somewhere. Don't own anything you can't live without. Don't settle for second best. Let the little things go. Take the big things a day at a time. Break habits as they form. Accept people for who they are.

I enjoy the exchange of political/religious beliefs and ideas. New questions are more valuable than old answers. I am in Europe to learn more about what has been happening in the world since the invasion of Ukraine.
