About Me
CURRENT MISSION
China 2016!
ABOUT ME
I am currently live in the greater Los Angeles area. I hike and rock climb almost every weekend.
I graduated from the University of Alaska Southeast in May 2009 with degrees in psychology and communications as well as a one-year Outdoor Leadership Certification. Did two years of a doctorate in Clinical and Community Psychology with an emphasis on rural and indigenous cultures. Got the masters, but peaced out because it hit - 72 F the second winter and well...f*** that noise.
I moved to Alaska from Vermont. Then from Alaska to California. Then back to Alaska. Then from Alaska to Florida. And then from Florida to California...sensing a pattern. I have a weird sense of humor but I seem to entertain my friends.
PHILOSOPHY
"Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around"
"I no longer know who I am, and I feel like the ghost of a total stranger..."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosting and surfing, I have surfed some in California (Cali people, yeah!) and had a few surfers here and there . I am hoping to host more in the future. How I participate: experiencing different cultures and sharing my own as well as offering good hospitality and company to those travelers on the road.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've rock climbed in Golden Canyon (Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada), Juneau, AK and all over California, snowboarded in Vermont and Alaska, ice climbed on Glacier walls and up frozen waterfalls, driven across the US 9,400 miles round-trip by myself, kayaked in Auke Bay and lived in my car.
Teach, Learn, Share
Wilderness First Responder certified, so I am medically trained. I know a lot about rock climbing, ice climbing, mountaineering, knots...anything you want to know...just ask.
Something I would like to learn..well can some one tell me: is the truth out there?
