About Me
Hello!
My name is Lena and I am from Munich, Germany. I studied physics in my undergrad. However, in the course of my studies and travels I realized that my future won't be science, but languages and cultures. So I am doing my masters in eastern european studies. There are two regions that fascinate me- the slavic speaking countries and the middle east. So I try to travel, explore and learn as much as I can about it.
I am a very open-minded person, though sometimes shy.
I am a happy person, but sometimes I am sad.
I try to live with the flow, but not being lazy.
Looking for the balance and the beautiful things in life!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like the idea of getting to know people by sharing the same roof over one's head. It's a basis of trust and beautiful moments can arise from this. And when it comes to travelling, you will have a authentic and unique experience for sure.
Interests
My alltime hobbie is learning languages, I love Russian language and now I am trying my best with Polish. Any help is appreciated!
I also really like movement and sports of any kind, going by bike makes me happy. At the moment I am doing a lot of acroyoga and yoga. I would like to learn some kind of dances though!
Music, Movies, and Books
Music is the best when it's played live - and it that case it doesn't even matter to me that much, which kind of music. I like Pop, Ska, HipHop. But also techno and electro and I have a secret passion for the 90ies.
I don't watch movies very often, but if so I try to watch movies from different countries and different times.
I really enjoy reading, in the last past years i focused mainly on Russian literature.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Midburn 2017! The Israeli Burning Man festival in the middle of the negev desert. The experience was beyond words...
Teach, Learn, Share
As I said, I am very curious to learn some of your mother tongue and also maybe the one or other secret recipe of yours, as I really like cooking! In exchange I will be happy to share some of mine with you.
I usually always have my scissors with me, so I can give you a 100% unprofessional haircut (don't worry though, I practised already on a lot of people).
