Hey there,

I'm Lena, 21 years old and from Germany. I've been on and off traveling for the last two years now and currently traveling southern Europe.
I've been taking my time after highschool to do things I love before starting something big like university that is gonna occupy me for a couple of years. So I did a social volunteer year right after highschool which tought me a lot since I was working in a children's hospice with disabled kids and I'm still growing from these experiences I think. Then I went to Canada on a working holiday visa that couldn't have been a more amazing time! Meeting so many people from all over the world and living in the middle of some beautiful nature made you just feel so lucky! I was able to travel the states during that year as well and to make my first couchsurfing experiences which I just loved. Going back to Germany after feeling so at home in Canada was hard and instead of starting university by then I decided to keep traveling for a bit. And that's where I'm still at right now!
I'm a very social person and I couldn't imagine living my life without caring for things like social justice. That is one of the biggest passions in my life and I hope to make it my profession later on, too!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

While I was traveling the states I just had the best time meeting people through couchsurfing. They were kind enough to host me and one of my friends from Germany and to make us feel at home.
I'm always really amazied by the amount of people that are on couchsurfing, always ready to welcome travelers from all over the world! I can't wait to offer this kind of hospitality that I was lucky enough to experience so far when I'm back home and settled in one place!

兴趣

Of course travelling is one of my biggest passions.
As I mentioned, I'm really into social work. I love working or being with children.
I love going out with friends or other travelers that you meet on your way.
I love being outdoors when the sun is shining. Going for hikes, for a picnic in the gras, to the beach or just for a stroll around town.
I'm really into cultural exchange, learning about religions, politics, traditions or just funny habits among different people. I like spontaneous adventures or just low key nights with good movies. If you're an honest and open minded person, I will like you and we're gonna have a good time together :).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I can't really name a life changing experience but I think everything I did so far after highschool were great ecperiences to grow and learn from. I'm just happy to know I' doing what I love, something that makes sense for me. And probably one of the best experiences in general is to know what's important in life for you and what makes you happy. At least I feel like I know that for now and that is a great feeling :)
