Overview
About Me
Hi, I am a student from Kyiv, Ukraine. I work as a researcher and take part in different civic activities, especially concerning education. Currently, I'm doing one semester as an exchange student in Giessen, Germany.
I am an open and friendly person. Doing some silly thing once in the while:)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travels and people just make me happy. I've hosted few peoples from different countries at my place via other services and really enjoyed that, so decided to join the biggest community of travelers. I want to see the world and have the opportunity to show my city to other travelers.
I am excited by the opportunity to find interesting people and where to stay in any country and help other travelers to see my city.
Interests
It's hard to fill this section, so many things are coming to mind.
I really enjoy nerdy stuff about social science, philosophy, and other many fields. I love exploring topics about education and especially higher education, Eastern Europe politics and history, modern architecture.
I like memes and always have few funny gags from the internet to show you.
I love travels, meeting new people and observe some traditions and habits of other culture.
And of course, music, literature, books, movies, and tv-shows.
- education
- social science
- memes
- urbanism
- higher education
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to different music and for sure don't know the names to all styles I listen to. I am open to different music experiences - electronic music, jazz, indie, rap - that all works for me. At my playlist, you always can find Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, some new electronic music, some new Ukrainian music, and funk.
The question about favorite movies is even harder than about favorite color or books. I enjoyed Cornetto trilogy, "Ex-Machina" and "La La Land".
I read a lot of books in my field of study. I like different non-fiction and philosophy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first things that came to mind are: spontaneously traveled to Berlin, created a popular meme-page, done 1200 km by hitchhiking with the guy I've never met before. I'm pretty sure that was something cooler, but very proud of these particular things:)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can tell you about Ukraine and Ukrainian culture.
I will be happy to join the nerdy conversation.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My company, conversation, jokes (probably even funny), can cook Ukrainian (or not Ukrainian) food
