Overview
About Me
Hi, I am Lena, 25 years old and studying civil engineering in Karlsruhe/Germany.
I love to travel, spontaniously by preference. No fixed plans, having a rough direction or destination and just living in the day. This means freedom to me. The freedom to take whatever time I want to to discover the places I visit or spend with the people I meet. Time to get to know the way of living in different cultures and the opinions and reality of life of different people around the world. This opens my horizon and widens my perspective. And hopefully those of the people I meet as well :)
I would love to not only travel the countries I visit but actually stay and live there for some time to experience daily life there. But however, CS is a good replacement for that if I don't have the time to stay longer :D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: alternative, rock, punk, musical, indie, classic, pop, hip-hop, rap, jazz, metal …maybe I can find some songs I like with every style of music :D - but mostly I listen to rock, pop and musical.
Movies: I am not a couch potato, so I rarely watch movies or series. But if I should name my favourite movie, it would be „Good will hunting“
Books: I love fantasy classics like „Lord of the Rings“ or „Harry Potter“, but also non-fiction books about society, politics, science and sustainability.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Meeting bedouins in the city of Petra, riding with them on their donkeys and sleeping in a bedouin cave.
Sleeping in a desert valley in Jordan on a rooftop and waking up because of the sun rising behind the mountains.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can give you some singing lessons or we can play music together.
I'd also love to exchange about languages since it is awesome being able to communicate with people in their mother tongue. Would love to speak some Arabic again and could teach you German^^
For some time I have been learning about social and environmental sustainability in my daily life and in society. Maybe you have some new inspirations for me and in exchange I could tell you mine ;)
What I Can Share with Hosts
As said above, I could teach you singing, German (or Arabic for beginners ;) ), share my sustainability strategies with you and some philosophical inspirations.
I can also cook for you and be a funny and communicative guest :D
