Overview
About Me
I'm a first generation Greek-American, born and raised in the United States. I have spent years traveling and living abroad; discovering new cultures and building relationships is my greatest passion.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Psychology, and a Master's in Cultural Anthropology and International Development, A few of my most rewarding and enriching life experiences include living in the Cultural Exchange Community at Clemson University; studying abroad in New Zealand; teaching at the University of Colorado; teaching in Tanzania; and running leadership development programs across Asia. I have spent the last three years working at an American university where I provide programs and services to facilitate intercultural learning and relationship-building between people from all corners of the globe. I have decided to leave the U.S. again and travel indefinitely, creating my path as I go!
I enjoy reading, writing, painting, photography, and learning about traditional healing modalities from around the world. I care deeply about international and experiential education, and I'm an experienced facilitator with a background in teaching, mentorship, partnership management, program management, program and curriculum design, and leadership development. I'm currently really focused on sharing people's stories and creating spaces for self-discovery, personal growth, and self-empowerment. And I want to learn as much as I can about other people's journeys in the process!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We all know that this is an affordable way to visit a new place, but it's also a valuable opportunity to meet interesting people and learn about a place from a local perspective, and I love culturally immersive experiences! I don't want to visit all the tourist traps; I want local insight on where to go, what to eat, and how to experience what makes a place unique!
