I am Lena, a Social Worker from the South of Germany, currently based in the beautiful Freiburg. I am very passionate about my work field and especially love working with kids and creativity.
I used to live in Berlin, which is a very vibrant city full of opportunities that I have enjoyed very much, but 2023 it was time to go and fulfill my dream of long term travelling. I moved to Freiburg around a year ago and still love to travel whenever I can...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to make my travel journey as fulfilling and real as possible and one really good way to do that is staying with locals. I have done couch surfing in Australia with a friend in 2019 and it was honestly amazing! The kindness and welcoming spirit of people brought so much joy to our travels that I cannot wait to meet more lovely people like this :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music-wise I listen to almost everything, my taste is a huge mix of 90s and 2000s Pop, RnB and Rap, heavier things like System of a Down, Rage against the Machine and a lot of Indie/Alternative Bands, as well as Classical Music, Reggae and Techno.
In Movies and Books I really like huge Fantasy novels and their film version, something you can get lost in. I am also into Crime and Detective Stories, Romance, but honestly there are so many good books and movies...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling and Sleeping in a car in Australia along the coast and watching the night sky with trillions of stars

another one is volunteering in a beautiful community in Orgiva, Spain and leaving there full of love

Teach, Learn, Share

I was learning Portuguese for a while and am still up to learn more more more, in return I can teach you some German :)
I have been dancing and playing with a Hoop for some years now and could totally show you some tricks and bits, if you ever wanted to pick up a flow toy. I also started exploring rope darts.

What I Can Share with Hosts

And I also like to cook (vegan/vegetarian) so we can either cook together, or if you don't enjoy cooking that much, I could cook for both of us.
In general I love to share good conversations about life, exchanging insights into our different cultures, laughing together and making the most of this beautiful time on earth :)
