About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I started my master degree in "Global communication" in Erfurt and I'm trying to take as much as I possibly can from this time. Working, travelling, learning, being inspired, getting to know myself better and figuring out how to save the earth.
ABOUT ME
I'm a very open and communicative person and I love to be in company. I'm one of those rare people who actually enjoy events with big crowds and a mass of people haha. Somewhat surprising to me, I just found out that I really like travelling solo because it makes me meet so many more people, especially via couchsurfing.
Thinking in a (sometimes way too) positive way and always try to see the best in someone/something is definitely my thing so I'm that person who always sees a half full glass and thinks that everybody is at least "nice".
Besides that I am open to try new things, I would love to describe myself as adventurous but I feel like that depends on your perspective. I can be quite active - if I want to! Horseback riding, diving, swimming, hiking (if the path is not only going up) are just some of the things I enjoy. Nothing wrong, too, with just hanging out on the couch, watching one episode after another on Netflix and enjoy your favourite snacks.
PHILOSOPHY
Don't worry, be happy.
Or: Everything is better with cheese/ chocolate.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I'm just travelling but I hope that I can return the favor sometime and host people from all over the world as well.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've come a long way with couchsurfing! Started it at the east coast of the United States because there were no hostels south of Washington D.C. I really learned to enjoy and appreciate meeting travellers and hosts from all over the world. I've had some of the best experiences while exploring foreign countries thanks to couchsurfing! Wakeboarding and barbecuing on the beach in Daytona Beach, swimming in an infinity rooftop pool with a view onto the petronas towers in Kuala Lumpur to sleeping on sailboats in Florida and second lining in New Orleans - you name it! Besides that I met a bunch of creative, open-minded, funny, inspiring, crazy, beautiful, traveling souls and I enjoyed every moment with them. One day I hopefully will be able to return the favour and open my home to the world.
Interests
I used to do horseback riding and I love animals. In my freetime I normally hang out with friends or go to the Gym (because I feel like I have to, not because I like it that much). Besides that I'm a huge book fan. I've read a whole book in one day and it can happen that I don't realize that people are talking to me because I'm so into a certain book. Also I love to sing and dance (not sure if I'm really good at either of them but nobody complained so far) so take me to a club or a karaoke bar and I'll have a great night. A drink or two might make it even better...
When the weather is nice, I love to explore the region with my motorcycle! While traveling latin america I discovered my passion for scuba diving - so meet your future dive master ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not very picky with film genres but don't even try to make me watch something that's only the tiniest bit scary. I can't and won't handle it 😅 Some of my favourite movies are Because I said so, Pearl Harbour (cheesy I know) and Lord of the Rings. Really like stuff with historical or political background like Django Unchained or House of Cards.
I love all kind of books except horror (see explanation above) but I have to say that I mostly enjoy those very cheesy romance novels where you already know at the beginning that they will get married in the end. I just can't help it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Biking over the alps with a school trip (4 countries, 400 kilometres, 4000 meters altitude difference in 4 days), snorcheling with whale sharks in Honduras, working in a calf barn in Canada, hiking a vulcano in Guatemala, dived a shipwreck in Bali (I could add all of my dives here!), horseback riding next to giraffes in South Africa, learning to drive a powerboat in Key West.... the list goes on!
Teach, Learn, Share
I always try to improve my language skills so I love to talk in English, try to convince myself to speak French and should definitely practice my Spanish. I surely can teach some German words in return. Otherwise I would love to learn how to cook some local food, I get around with my skills but I don't enjoy it that much...
Love to share travelling stories and getting inspired by all the crazy stuff other people have done!
I got really interested in zero waste, slow fashion and sustainable lifestyle and I want to learn more about the possibilities that we have to change our daily life and making the world a little bit better. Had the chance to go dumpster diving for the first time recently and I would love to hear more about it (and try it more often). In exchange I'm more than happy to tell you about the things I already found out and giving some advice on what you can change easily without having to cut back too much.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to bake so if you have an oven, we can try my favourite cake recipe! Sharing a cake helps to make new friends (and keeps you skinny ;))! Also I love telling all about the stuff I've seen and done abroad.
If you happen to build or renovate something I'd be more than happy to help, too.
