About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Amsterdam, baby

ABOUT ME

I like to see myself as a writer and artist - who might not do that much of either. I like to travel and listen to people's stories, read, watch movies, draw or just look around and discover new ways to look at life. I study social anthropology and I love everything about it - to learn about the world and all of its differences.

PHILOSOPHY

Things I remind myself of are to always be honest, with myself and those around me, and to push myself out of the comfort zone and do one scary thing a day. And quality in everything I do - above all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am pretty new to this, so I haven't been couch surfed yet. I have hosted one girl spontaneously after her host cancelled, and that is how I heard about this phenomena couch surfing for the first time.

Interests

Music, books, people, dancing, cooking, childlike enthusiasm about the littlest things, traveling of course, hiking and being outdoor, friends and really good conversations that you never want to end..

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now I listen to Edward Sharpe and the magnetic zeroes on repeat, but I am also a big fan of Beirut, Queen, Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, Kaizers Orchestra, Katzenjammer and Susanne Sundfør ++

Movies. If you haven't watched "Stranger than fiction" yet - do it! That will be my favorite of all time. I also like everything made by Wes Anderson and arty movies of that kind.

Of books I like "Veronica decides to die" by Paulo Coelho and other books that make you think or feel that you have found a new friend. I forget how much I love to read while studying because I mostly read school related text. The biggest reading experience I have had apart from Paulo Coelho must be the one and only Harry Potter series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I volunteered at an orphanage in Arusha, Tanzania for half a year, and I that is without a doubt the most amazing and eyeopening thing I have ever done. For me this experience was all about loving and learning what matters in life - other people and having peace within yourself.

I also lived with and Italian family in Sicily for a year during High School (with AFS), an experience that has shaped me a lot.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think the one thing I can contribute with here more than anything is to always try and see the world through someone else's eyes and thereby never judge anyone or anything, because we are all so much more similar than we think, it might as well be yourself.
