About Me

Outgoing, talkative, curious, friendly, active.
Learned a lot about myself while travelling alone. Most importantly that travelling solo is not for me. I need people around me to share my daily experiences with, which makes couchsurfing perfect for me. :)

I am going to be a teacher in the near future. I think helping young people to learn and grow is an important part of society.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfed quite a bit in England in 2013
Haven't hosted yet, but hopefully will in the near future :)

I met great people during my time in England, both as a guest and at local meetings

Music, Movies, and Books

Current read: Etta and Otto and Russel and James - I love it so far.

I read Me before you recently after I tried to escape the hype for almost a year and I was surprised. I thought it would turn out to be the next cliché-loaded love story. It is much more than a love story.

What else?
Don't get me started on Harry Potter.
I don't like horror. I'm easily frightened. As you might have guessed, I don't like chick lit either. A good book has a well researched background, a great story line and offers food for thought. Great example:
Khaled Hosseini - A thousand splendid suns
Theodor Fontane - Effi Briest
Jane Austen - Pride and Prejudice

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been to the waterfalls at Foz do Iguacu. So incredibly beautiful! In fact, the whole trip through Brazil was incredible.
Got out of my comfort zone and travelled England solo for a month

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Languages, especially German. How to read a book and understand it, basic knitting :D (trust me - a long wool scarf might come in handy come winter ...)
Learn: Tons of different languages. Italian! French!

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Scotland
