About Me
Hey, 你好, 안녕하세요!
(First of all, my older sister Magdalena let's me use her Couchsurfing profile, that's why most of the reviews are written regarding her, and also all the countries that have been visited include her as well as my travels)
My name's Lea Maria Percht, just turned 19 years old (20 in Korean age haha) and originally I'm from a small European country called Austria. I've always wanted to live abroad, so when I graduated from High School in June 2016, I immediately packed my bags and flew to Sydney, Australia, where I lived for almost 4 months. Shortly after it was time to move on, so I decided on coming to Hong Kong. I lived there for almost a year and I'm absolutely in love with the Asian culture!
Currently I'm at home in Austria for the summer, but I'll move to Vienna in a month to go an study at Austria's biggest university!
I'd describe myself as rather mature and independent (I mean hey - I moved from Europe to Australia and then Asia at the age of 18) and I looooove diving into foreign culture, experience the city life as well as nature. Some of my friends are really into photography, so I kind of developed a passion for taking and editing photos, shooting videos and appreciating architecture.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is one of the most useful networks I've ever come across! I got introduced to it via my sister, who made use of it while she lived in the UK and Spain and only made great experiences and life time friends. The first time I used it was in Australia, when me and a friend decided to go on a road trip to Melbourne. We stayed at an utterly friendly man's apartment right in the city centre and enjoyed two wonderful nights there. Couchsurfing really helps people to broaden their horizons, experience new cultures and get immersed into a local's life (which makes it way more exciting than just staying at a hotel).
Interests
To be fully honest, I'm that basic white girl who does yoga and sits in a Starbucks while reading a Jane Austen novel. Plus, I love languages. Whilst my stay in Hong Kong, I signed up for a Mandarin language course. However, I'm more into Korean, so if you could help me practicing I would greatly appreciate it. :)
