About Me

Hi I'm a Belgian guy, 25 years old, currently working at the University of Ghent. But not sure if this is really my life. I have many interests, too many to sum up hehe. But i like cooking, learning about different places and countries, drinking beers, dancing to weird music, social and politcal dynamics (so also some serious things), not knowing where the day is leading to, and important trying out new food :))

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My main aim for couchsurfing is to meet new people while travelling, but as well to receive people who would like to visit Belgium. In my opinion it is a huge added value if you can meet someone from the country you're travelling in. I think it is verry enriching to get to now new places and people that are otherwise diffecult to discover without locals. The next ytip I'm doing is to Iran.

Music, Movies, and Books

At this moment I'm very into Brazilian music (60-80's) (Jorge Ben Jor, Tom Zé, Os mutantes, Trio Mocotó, ...). As well I like funk and disco. Off course there are as well classics, blues/jazz. And the more electronic scene of the 2000's.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trying to do a hike in the Kaukasus Mountains in Georgia, but ending up with 40 degrees fever and an infection, being stuck for one week without any connections. Luckily Georgian mountain people are like parents. There was no single moment I felt lonely, eventhough there were nearly 40 poeple in this village and I was whole day long in my bed. Good memories...
