ABOUT ME

I love writing songs.
i'm very much in love with teaching english to korean kids, but i think that chapter is at a close.
i like studying russian language (how can someone love such a task?)
animals and nature dominate my ideas of beauty.
i love being outside and immersed in the world.
love playing bass.
reading is good sometimes.
philosophy is also good in small to medium doses.
Travelling has suddenly become very relevent to my lifestyle.
I love listening to people, and absorbing their human-ness.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to be as un-human as i can. that is, i try to contact, and explore, that part of me, that is beyond humanity, that is the essence of all life, that from which our humanity springs. and though i live proudly as a human, i like to voyage beyond the realms of mind to the depths of eternal nature, the eternal calm. It's a work in progress. also, i don't believe in ultimate truth yet, and i think nothing is so important as it first may seem.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw a flower play with my breath.
I saw many amazing displays of humanity in Asian subway cars.
I spent a year playing music in an abandoned stadium on the outskirts of a small valley town in south korea.
