About Me

Just a lady who likes to be her genuine self, and do activities that brings meaning and joy into her life.

I do have a career, something common that fills up quite a bulk of our time usually, but what I do with the rests of my time is the one that makes up a big chunk of who I am. That equals to adding colors into my life, loving and living healthy.

Whatever I do, it meets these 3 criteria:

1. On frequent basis, I read. Would you agree with me that knowledge is a great asset?

2. I like meeting new people, people who are passionate with what they do, and capable of having some intelligent and interesting conversations. It helps to widen my perspective, get new ideas, know what's going on around me and the world. So, yeah, I like to listen to others' experiences

3. Am constantly on the look-out for interesting events to attend locally, other than the opportunity to travel and participate in activities abroad, at least once a year if not more.

Those sums up at a very high level about me.

Above and beyond everything else, I never forgotten all my close dear friends, near or far. I make time for family and friends disregard the circumstances. I will also help and support in kind for those in need and I'm not referring to money only. Time is priceless (and very precious!) and time is what I am willing to squeeze out for such need. Visiting old folks home, orphanage, feed the homeless, it’s a yearly activity for me, at least once if not more. Ok, I almost missed out mentioning working out. No, I'm not a gym freak, but I do exercise frequently.

I’m going to copy a CS friend of mine who put down this clause—This is NOT a Tinder app, not a dating site— I find this useful to make this known ahead too. Thank you for your understanding.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have heard about it but never check it out before. Since am traveling solo, I thought it might be helpful to meet some solo travelers. Maybe, just maybe, it’s more interesting to be able to share to try more food, share transport, help each other to take photos, and I guess, it makes memories more fun and interesting. Told myself, why not give it a try. I hope God bless me with awesome people

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don’t have one😆 but many:

1. Bungee jumping in New Zealand
2. Successfully trekked Kashmir Great Lakes conquering all 3 passes of about 4200m each including Mt Kota Kinabalu, other than lower ones such as Mt Pulaq and Mt Pinatubo in the Philippines, Mt Hehuashan and Mt Hualien in Taiwan. Everest base camp next, in 2020.
3. 25km marathon and few others, locally and internationally in Taiwan and Singapore
4. Duothlon (swim and run), Viper Challenge (20 obstacles and run 21km)
5. Certified open water diving
6. Lived in Hawaii for 6 years while studying and working
7. A scholarship recipient for 6 years to study abroad
8. Ate 4 whole durians by myself. Mid-size durians. And I finished 9 scoops of Haagen Daz ice cream in one seating within 2 hours

Crazy list and am adding on :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Life experiences, and if there’s any spices or food (legally allowed to bring) that you are keen to try from my home country, I will try to bring. I cook and bake, just for passion. I am a foodie, so I could possibly join to explore food and places if timing and group are suitable. If you would like me to help paint/draw anything, am not a professional artist, but I’m fairly good with charcoal portrait drawing and acrylic painting.
