About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Constantly learning how best to love others

ABOUT ME

Heyhiho, I like to describe myself as an adventurer, but not in the sense that I really want to go skydiving, but rather in the sense of adventuring with others, getting to know new people and daring to have deep conversations. I love traveling (obviously), but also love getting involved in a community and contributing to it. I love to dance (finger dancing, swing dancing, boogie woogie, rock and roll, would love to learn more hip hop and break dancing and always more Lindy Hop). I'm easy going, I love to laugh and to make others laugh. Nature astounds me and I am eager to be surrounded by it, but a walk through city streets would put a smile on my face. I'm optimistic, positive and energetic.

PHILOSOPHY

Act justly, love mercy and walk humbly. Loving others a ridiculous amount is my life goal and to live without fear.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think this is an awesome project, enabling people to see the world and meet new people and learn from both.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch surfed for a short time in Germany and loved it, we made pancakes :) I also spend six weeks in Russia a few summers ago and couch surfed the whole way, it was such a great way to to meet people even when I was busy working there.

Interests

People, learning about them; nature, dancing, whistling, reading (adventure and mystery novels, the newspaper, the Bible, notes from friends), languages, fighting human trafficking.

Hamburg New Years on Landungsbruecke- there were a spectacular amount of people and of fireworks. Then walking the city in the daylight the next day, the harbor was so beautiful.

Teach, Learn, Share

Pay attention, think and reflect there is always something to be learned.
I can teach basic swing dancing and would love to learn other dancing styles.
I can teach what I know about modern-day slavery as it's a field I've researched and worked in on and off for four years now.
Also, I love learning languages so feel free to challenge me to teach you or just stop speaking english and see where that takes us.
