I live with my sister Ned, my adult son Akira and an assortment of animals. We have 2 houses, one in Campbell Town (on the Hwy between Launceston and Hobart) and one in Launceston. We absolutely love our life here but we are a long way away from our family and friends and we don't know a lot of people in Tasmania so we especially appreciate our occasional couchsurfer visitors.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Lots of experience backpacking, hitch hiking and occasionally couchsurfing throughout Europe and Asia. We have hosted many people through Hospitality Club, Couchsurfers and Globalfreeloaders.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stuck in the back of a very crowded non aircon bus with no toilet for 12 hours between Baguio and Manilla in the Philippines in the aftermath of Mt Pinatubo's eruption in 1991 with my sister and 3yo son. We didn't see much through the thick ash but what we did see was devastating.
