About Me

Hi I'm Leo! I've just finished working at Big White in Canada for the winter season and now travelling around North America for 6 weeks.

Since finishing university I've spent the best part of three years travelling and working abroad, including working in France (and Canada) for winter seasons, USA for summer camp, an internship in New Zealand and interrailing through Europe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm always open to new experiences and I've heard great things from friends who've couchsurfed. Some of my best experiences of new places have been through meeting/staying with locals so I'm keen to make the most of couchsurfing.

(I'm currently Coachsurfing now and it's been a great experience!).

When I return home and have my own place I would love to return the favour and host others.

Interests

Snowboarding, most sports - especially football/soccer; cooking, travelling, hiking, cycling, filming/editing my GoPro footage, (extremely amateur) photography.

Music, Movies, and Books

There's a time and a place for (almost) all types of music, but I lean towards more rock/indie artists.

My book collection is mostly based around personal accounts of extreme adventure/challenges and stories that inspire me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Set up a couchsurfing profile :)

Jumped out of a plane at 16,000ft! (with a parachute), bungee jumped (twice! It's addictive), learnt to love my home country.

Teach, Learn, Share

Cheesy but true, "Sometimes it's not about the journey or the destination..but about the people you meet along the way".

What I Can Share with Hosts

My mini 'work abroad career' has been working in kitchens as a cook so hopefully I can pass on some culinary knowledge.

Tips for travelling in Europe, New Zealand and USA.

Anything snowboarding related.

The rules of cricket but you will need to free up the next 72 hours :)
