Overview
About Me
A Canadian living in the bilingual city of Montréal.
Currently, I'm living temporarily in Germany for a summer internship.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Everytime I travel somewhere, I feel like a fish without water, with no clue of where I'm supposed to go or look. I'm a really spontaneous person and am kind of bad at planning. I want to use couchsurfing to meet new people all over the world to help me explore the little charms of their hometowns that only locals would know. And likewise, I will extend that same hospitality to those curious about Montréal.
Interests
From my days as an army cadet, I've gained an appreciation of the outdoors and enjoying hiking, canoeing, and camping (but not survival... never again!). When I'm not outdoors, I'm like being challenged by others, whether it's intellectually in competitive debate, strategically in judo, and just raw skill in league of legends (it's a really cool computer game). In my spare time, I love playing the guitar (which I left in Canada :/ ) and singing (apparently I'm tone deaf according to my friends).

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy a lot of different types of music. I listen to Ed Sheeran, Marc Dupré, and Linkin Park. I also really like OSTs from animes, movies, and video games. Since coming to Germany, I found that I really liked the remixes of English songs that German radio does.
My favourite series is A Song of Ice and Fire (aka Game of Thrones). I also really enjoy Dan Brown novels and classics like Dracula and Brave New World.
Marvel movies are always a good time for me (although my favourite superhero movie is the Dark Knight). I also appreciate movies that make you think like Inception or the Minority Report. I love military movies (Full Metal Jacket, Hacksaw Ridge, Jarhead).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once canoed in a thunderstorm. I was terrified and ecstatic at the same time.
Teach, Learn, Share
Je peux t'enseigner un peux de français ou chinoise et le culture du Canada. Or if you're already en courant, I offer my experiences as a Chinese Canadian. Even though I haven't seen a lot, I have read a lot and lived a thousand lives through my books already. I share with you my love for history and politics. Ou si vous voulez, un peux de chimie.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Eternal gratitude. Philosophical debate. Warm company. A beer.
