I’m Leo, I hope you guys are great! 😁
Freshly arriving in New-Zealand, I travel alone, I’m looking forward for meeting new people, learn about a new culture, new ways of being, climbing, hiking, jamming surrounded by nature and/or amazing people.

I had the chance to travel a lot. Mostly around all Europe, easy for me because I was born in Paris, but then around Asia for quite some time. My mother and brother are living in Canada, so I got to travel North America a bit too as well. Now my travels sent me last year to French Polynesia, my first touch with the Māori culture, and then to Australia for a year, and now I’m here! ✨

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It’s the fist time for me that I use this application. I’m looking for new experiences, humans interactions, I thought maybe that Couchsurfing would be a nice door to it. I think I’m looking for meaningful interactions, I don’t mind the small talk, but an interest of “?” and life is always a great and nice surprise

I love to climb, it’s a real obsession for me nowadays, I wish I could meet people that will show me amazing places where to experience climbing and nature. I enjoy a lot bouldering as well, I want to keep climbing as much as possible

I love to play guitar too, jamming, get free through music. Wish I could share and learn from what is going to be new encounters ! Main objective too.

At last, I also wish I’ll be to able to share new experiences, learn from people that I will meet. Learn about New-Zealand and the history here. Learn the way of the earth, and listening the whispers of these islands.

Interests

Rock climbing, going on hike, and found great spots to camp out.
But bouldering too, either outdoors but indoors too

Playing guitar ! Jamming with the light of the sun or the warmth of a fire pit or the soft of a couch, either, I want to play music.
And music is my main philosophy of life.

Walk through the philosophy of the mind.
I do embroidery on my free time too.
I write sometimes,I found a real peace of mind in Introspection and understanding the world around me. I value my alone and free time to think and clean my mind.

I’ve surfskates boards also! I love to ride. I do snowboard and ski too! Riding is part of my nindo, my way! Yokonori, as a Japanese friend once told me

Also I took a rope access formation ticket last year, my main objective is to find a job where I’d be able to use the most of this ticket. This is a new experience for me. I have known mostly hospitality. But last year in Australia I tried new things, this road leaded me here.

I do enjoy gaming a lot too. Even if I try to get detach as possible from screens, I can deny my real interest for the gaming world, that shaped me through the years, through stories and music. Warcraft, Zelda, Halo, Arc Survival, Zomboid, Witcher..
I love video games, I think it can be a fantastic tool to grow new fictional worlds in your mind

Love art and culture in general. Eager to learn and discover.

When it’s come to music, I do have so many different worlds. Music is the answer. I can’t live without. I love more than anything to share new tunes, to dig new musical experiences.
Rock, soul, jazz, metal, classical, techno, bossa nova, blues, house music, neo, punk, funk, movies ost, reggae, African beats, drums, fusion, electronic music, from all ages.
Music is my number one ticket plan to travel, everyday

My favourite author is named Alain Damasio. An author in between reality and philosophy, sci-fi with a real unique way to express his story.

But there is so many more, movies or books I could talk about. Used to read of lot. I used to binge watch a lot of tvshow. I love the Japanese culture too.
I enjoy podcasts too. A new perspective of reflection
And One Piece.

I’m a good worker, I’ve work as a handy man in Australia, I got to build, paint, landscape. I’d be happy to help if needed!

I can be a good cook for others, I usually a bit more lazy when I need to feed me ahah. But I love to share food and a drink. I love to eat actually. You can travel through food !

I have work for more than 10y as a waiter, bartender, manager, I’m (or try to be) organised, and like do get things done. I can easily help with house tasking, gardening, those kind of stuff. :)
