About Me

I'm a person. My interests include being a person and stating the obvious.
I've lived in 3 different countries so far, and given how the experience made me grow, I want to share it with others.
I'm French, although I don't think this defines me that much. Apart from the fact that I like cheese. And wine. Okay never mind, I'm a walking cliché...
I like penguins.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Originally to join events in Cologne, where I live. They were always a pleasure to attend. Now trying to be a more active member of the community by hosting people when I can. Though at the moment it's - sadly - nearly impossible...

Interests

I really like music. I know, everyone does, but to me it goes to this extent : I go to at least one festival every year (sometimes up to 3 in a summer). I play the guitar, and I've been part of a few bands in the past. They were all pretty crappy but it made for great memories.

I like animated films a lot. As a matter of fact, I've worked in an animation studio for a while.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music : Blur, Anna Calvi, The Kills, The Doors, anything that revolves around rock music basically. Folk Pop too (The Staves, First Aid Kit, The Head and The Heart...). Original soundtracks from movies or video games are great too, especially when I want to concentrate or motivate myself. I can enjoy a lot of other genre (rap, r'n'b, afro beat, flamenco...) but I listen to those less frequently.

Movies : Did I mention I liked animated movies? So yeah, you can't really go wrong with a film from the Ghibli Studios, Pixar and such. Recently watched The Red Turtle and it really pleased my retina.

Books : My favourite book has to be The Little Prince. I also like sort of fantastic things like Edgar Allan Poe's short stories, or Alice in Wonderland. Is it in the fantastic category though? Eh...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've bungee jumped at the Sziget festival! Oh yeah, and I've been to the Sziget Festival. If I were allowed to name more than one thing I'd say this giant pillow fight on Trafalgar Square or playing with Keziah Jones' bassist. But I don't make the rules...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some French, as it's my mother tongue. Or how to bake crepes, I learnt a lot of tricks along the way! I'm always up for a story exchanging session, or a good old debate on what makes life worthwhile.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can play some music together or cook, I love both. And EAT! (Yeah I get excited when I talk about food) I really like to walk, so I'd be glad to explore. It might sound silly but I like to listen, so if you have stories to tell about where you're from, or how you see the world, I'll soak that in :)
