About Me

Hey!

I'm Leo - a happy, spontanious, curious, fun-seeking and ball-loving Swede who decided to stop going in to work around 5 years ago. Since then I've been traveling while freelancing as a journalist.

Couchsurfing is such a great thing. I've met so many beautiful people through this community. Unexpected friendships, moments that I'll never forget. And it's about time to make new acquaintances. This time in South America!

Voy a estudio español por 8 semanas en Colombia. Después viajo en país diferentes en América del Sur. Vamos!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love Couchsurfing. I love the idea of it, I love the unique experiences that it gives you, and, most of all, I love the people on CS. It's hard to find better, more open minded people in this world.
All of this also suits my kind of traveling perfectly. The purpose of me leaving my daily routines and just explore the world on my own is beacuse I want to make friends in places I've never seen before and explore new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm listening to everything. So whether you play System of a Down, Eminem, Dolly Parton, The Beatles, Bob Marley or Spice Girls, be sure that I'll sing along to that shit. Or even play it, since I'm bringing my guitarr.

Favourite movies: So many to pick from... But S7evn, The usual suspects, Matrix and LOTR are up there for sure.

Best tv-series: The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Band of Brothers and Game of Thrones - up until they slaughtered it.. :'(

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My family is kinda divided because of my parents divorce. Therefore we don't celebrate Christmas as most families. But me and my friend, who was in a similiar situation, decided to turn this into something positive.

So for a couple of winters we drove around the swedish countryside as 'Santa and his little helper'. We did this on a modified moped in the snow, froze our asses off and spent most of our christmas-time on the road. But it was so fun to deliver gifts to the children making 'em smile. And also convincing them that Santa does not only exist - that dude drives a moped.

Teach, Learn, Share

Almost everything and everyone intrests me. I'm quite convinced that all knowledge is good knowledge and I'm therefore eager to explore and learn as much as possible in this strange thing we call life.
But yeah, without going too philosophical here: I can for sure teach people a thing or four about my home country (Sweden) and hopefully give some insight on different topics that interests me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Beers, food, laughs, songs and good stories. Don't wanna brag but I'm a pretty decent storyteller - and by this point there are quite a few stories to tell.
