Overview
About Me
hi,
I'm Leo. I am an artist working in experimental film and choreography, I also work in trans health, and run a queer skateboarding collective called Camp Skateboarding.
I grew up living between different countries, so have nomadic tendencies, I tend to like spending more time in a place to really get to know the history, culture, and meet local artists, communities and so I can skate!
I also love nature and ecology, and try to experience that as much as I can overseas, especially learning about local indigenous cultures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travelling is a wonderful and beautiful privilege, but also has its repercussions on local places.
I want to make sure I'm travelling in an intentional and respectful way. Where there is reciprocation and exchange.
I love to know a place through locals and not just sightseeing without context. I crave depth in knowing a place, and the people that inhabit it, and often like to live places as opposed to just pass through.
I want meaningful connections with people, and learning about their stories, as well as a chance to share my own.
