PHILOSOPHY
I believe in communication as the most important connection between people. For that people have to be honest and sensitive for sending and receiving. Understanding is even more difficult if there are other cultural background and different languages involved. It can be more interesting too though.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Giving and sharing can bring great joy to everyone. We all know that traveling can be expensive. I'd rather spend money on good food, wine or beer than on sleeping in one room with a lot of people and bad air.
I am willing to help out people who want to save money and I don't think that is a bad reason to be on couchsurfing.
It's great to be lucky enough to meet people whose company you can enjoy. Usually one party of CS has his/her daily life going on so if you both have time and you happen to get along well thats great, but I don't feel like finding friends through CS and I've been a bit disappointed after a experiences where I felt forced into giving a certain attention to either a host or a guest or felt like a dummy for a course on social behavior. I am willing to help but I'm not staying with people for their entertainment, nor will I hold your hand while you stay with me and I expect a certain level of social awareness and intuitive behavior.
I want to enjoy my freedom by having this great opportunity to stay somewhere for free, learn about a new culture and maybe meet a great personality.
Interests
I am very interested in cities, how communities and social structures work. learning about how culture can be based on the history of a country or a city is one of the things that make traveling so amazing for me. I also love cooking and baking and learning about other people's food habits. while traveling I go by recommendations and eat out to be able to discover as much as possible in foreign food culture. I'm quite an active person and love doing sports. A couple of years ago I fell in love with rugby, the best sport in the world. But it could also be running or cycling, rock climbing or swimming, soccer or volleyball. I'm not very competitive but I love the energy that comes up when doing sports.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books avout adventures, feminism and everything out of the heteronormative scheme.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spending a night at a beach of a small island a couple of kilometers from a 20 million city, cooking freshly picked mussels on a bonfire and sleeping just next to the waves looking out at the city lights..
Spending a night next to the Bulgarian-Romanian border on the Danube beach under a tent like construktion. being feverish and exhausted
New passion: hitchhiking with truck drivers
Teach, Learn, Share
"...And in my opinion until I change it, life is best filled by learning and teaching as much as you can about as much as you can.." Tim Minchin
What I Can Share with Hosts
Company, an outsiders view on their culture. Random knowledge like the story behind the words tea and chai.. One thing I want to try: think about little souvenirs from home to give to hosts. I've been useless with that..
