About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

Hello (o:

I am solar-powered.
I am not an unstable axe-murderer seeking frail castle-owners.
I've been Adventuring full-time now for 12 years, liberated from the mainstream, and I do things most people seem to only dream about. I have many projects, ideas, actions and lots of love and energy.

To apply labels, I'm a writer, an ethical and healthy eater (so please don't bring any animal-product "foods" into my house if you are my guest) and was a children's (they smell better than adults) emergency nurse. I switched from my planned path to be a doctor when I realised how destructive and corrupt current Western mainstream medicine is, and have since developed my love and knowledge of natural medicines.

I consider myself positive, easy-going (except when I meet someone kicking a dog), thoughtful, adventurous. And I greatly value silliness. One grows old when one ceases to Play. I was born and raised in London, and got out of the city as soon as I could. I didn't enjoy the concrete, selfishness, conformity, fear, hate and materialism. I physically left urban life "for good" in 2012. Since then I have been travelling overland, mainly by foot and train (although take-offs and flying are awesome, I don't like aeroplanes' pollution), on a budget as a naturopathic nutritionist and freelance writer who values his time.

*** Update for guests in my house: it seems many practicing cruelty to animals are unable to understand or respect the one house rule, of no animal "product" foods in the house. And it can get a bit old repeatedly having to explain how cheese, milk and meat are violent, unhealthy, stink, and are killing us, the animals and the planet. So from now on, vegans only in my house. If you're wanting to visit, please let me know you're vegan so I know you've read this. Thank you :) ***

I would be very grateful if you could accommodate me where I go. As well as making new friends, it would help me to continue exploring, volunteering (disaster relief and animal welfare) and Adventuring (o: I do the same when I have spare space and stay still for a while.

PHILOSOPHY

The most necessary and attractive of all human traits is the ability to be open-minded. This means to be able to consider new information objectively, to not be stuck in attachment to a habit, and to change behaviour and path accordingly, to stay evolving and develop the "self" (o: This process necessarily involves Love.

Be considerate, engage with things, have Fun, follow your heart (as long as you know the difference between the soft, subtle, constant voice of the heart, and the loud shouts of habits, programs, cravings and aversions).

So far so good! (o: I stayed with a sweet old lady in Chang Mai, Thailand (with dementia so she couldn't remember hosting me :) ), and have hosted several solo travellers and couples. I give people a bed or hammock when I can.

Wrestled a friendly wild Lioness - one of my favourite memories.
And I've seen a Tree covered in millions of Fireflies, pulsing as one.
I've recently finished cycling across Sweden, supporting the world record expedition for animal welfare: www.facebook.com/swedeoflight, where my friend became the first person to push a self-propelled wheelchair the 2,000km length of Sweden, from Arctic Circle to Baltic Sea.
