ABOUT ME

I've graduated from college, still holding onto idealistic dreams and passions. I backpack once or twice a year, write the first couple chapters of novels regularly, and I have about a million hobbies. I recently read this interesting book on memory that had something fascinating to say. It said that our lives do not "feel" longer when we follow the same routine and do nothing spontaneous. In fact, quite the opposite. When our days are packed with new experiences and irregular patterns, the days become more memorable... thus creating the illusion of a more "full" life.

So I'm out to do that. I want to build a tiny house, continue with my cinematography, complete a bucketlist, learn autoCAD, cycle across some large spacial country, probably get married at some point far ahead, and have kids because nothing would be more new and irregular than that.

Theoretically, through all that, I will have found countless opportunities to help others, which really is the whole point anyway.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As a resident assistant at my university, my couch was always used for someone who needs a place to sleep. A place to eat rice and Oreos, sip hot chocolate, and talk about the humor in living.

I've traveled America one summer and used couch surfing a bit, typically my friend and I just stealth camped in the woods somewhere though.

I just finished 330 miles adventure cycling around MI and staying with some cool cats on CS.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Started making a documentary!

Climbed through an abandoned mine shaft that was under a cliff in Arizona... until a bat flew in my face and I left.

Showed up to a wedding in Oregon one hour before it started in backpacking garb. The last time I had seen a shower was New York City, two weeks earlier.

Drove 36 hours straight with my pal David to get to New Mexico from Michigan. Spring break and my birthday were spent in the Gila Wilderness Area where we saw a horse skeleton, a bear head, other backpackers with pistols on their belts, and hot springs.

Threw a 40pd pumpkin off the 2nd tallest bridge in Idaho.
