I work for the City I love, keeping it clean year round and clearing it of snow in the winter,
whenever I have a day off, it's always time to play...

My name is Leon, my family immigrated to NYC when I was 2 years old to pursue the American dream. Lived through many struggles and doubts that many immigrants go through.

I love to learn about new cultures and especially eat their food, most recently I tried Ethiopian food for the first time in Manhattan, delicious!

I have a wide range of hobbies, everything in NYC is seasonal, changing it up according to the weather.

My next travel goal is to visit Machu Picchu in Peru, I've had my eyes on it for a while.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started traveling with friends and at times on my own since I was 18, before that was always with family at resorts in the Caribbean. As time passed, I got older, started to appreciate other cultures even more, from way of life, to it's history or struggles, and especially their food, I credit Anthony Bourdain for shaping and inspiring my current day travel style. I've been to 12 countries, met many amazing people, ate many delicious specialties, and still have a lot more work to do.

I'm on couch surfing to share another part of the world with people that are curious to explore like me. A lot of my trips wouldn't have been as inspiring and complete if I haven't met new local friends to share stories with and much needed advice. My travels have helped me become the person I am today, I can't wait to inspire others from around the world. I want to give back to a community that's about sharing and exploring, provide a safe and clean environment I call home, to use as a base to explore the biggest city in the world!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a clean and comfortable home in a great location with amazing views, and easy access to Manhattan. When I have a day off, as long as I'm free, I'll be more than happy to go out and explore NYC!
