ABOUT ME

I'm 23 years old and study Industrial Design in Wuppertal. In my third year, but took a semester off to travel before I go to the US for about a year...

As we probably all do here, I love travelling and I have been to most parts of Europe now, a bit of Asia, Morocco, Cuba...

at the moment I am travelling from Istanbul, to Bulgaria, Serbia and then Budapest and by coincident, there have been two cool design weeks on the way :)

I am also very much into music - mostly electronic - and have been involved in organizing and designing some nice events and venues in my hometown Wuppertal in the last two years.

I have worked in a kitchen, too. so maybe I could cook something nice for you, but don't expect it to bee very german ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My cousurfing experience via this platform isn't that big after all, maybe been to 3-4 places and hosted 2. But they have all been great and I also did a lot of couchsurfing by just meeting nice people, where I could stay or hosting friends of friends or musicians, etc at my place. It is just the best thing, when you go to a new town, where you don't know anywone!

Interests

as I said:
design (not only product/ industrial design, basically everthing that makes me think about new ideas, solutions or that just looks good and shows how nice the world could be :) )

music, I am not really a musician myself, but I am very passionate about finding new - currently mostly electronic - good music, going to good clubs and sometimes also organizing music and art events.

photography. I don't try to publish that stuff, I just like to get better and to me much more alert when I walk through a new city, because I am always looking around for a good motive :)

and then there is all the others things that I love, but that don't stand out that much. sports, whenever I can, reading novels, whenever I have some free time, cooking almost everyday to relax.

and of course travelling, not so much, because I love to see all the churches, but I just get to know so many new people with totally different or amazingly similar views on life and the world :) and because it teaches me to just cope with myself and that sometimes this is just enough to be happy with my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

_being so lucky to meet nice people almost everywhere I went
_seeing how small I am in the Mongolian dessert
_being in a 10 persons group to organize and design a 3 month culture, music, arts, theater and clubbing festival with more than 20000 visitors last year in Wuppertal
