ABOUT ME

I love love love to travel - to see new places, eat new foods, and meet new friends. I was born and raised in Northern California, and went to school in Southern California. I recently moved to Hawaii for work so am now just learning my way around and exploring the islands. To date, I've been to 30 countries and aim to add at least one new one every year!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first CouchSurfing experience was during my trip to the Philippines for the 2011 new year. I accompanied a friend to a couchsurf gathering - a buffet luncheon in Manila - and met some great new friends. It was a fantastic experience to meet others who were so interested in an international community and who were so open, friendly, and giving of their time. I got hooked!

During my recent world travel year, I couchsurfed in Barcelona, Marseille, and Edinburgh. I was lucky enough to meet a wide range of friends and hosts. It was the best way to get to know local spots and flavors.

I love eating, exploring new bars and restaurants, listening to music, spending time with friends, and being outdoors. I'm also a a language and culture junky :).
