ABOUT ME

Hello,I'm Leona Ling from Malaysia.To clear the doubts,my nationality is Malaysian and my race is Chinese. As there are many races living in Malaysia, I know few languages such as Mandarin which is my mother tongue,besides this, I know English, Malay, Cantonese and I am now learning French. I am a student in Taylor's University Lakeside Campus in Malaysia and next year I'm going to continue my last year degree in UK. I stay away from my family most of the time as I am studying in a different state. This made me to be independent.
I am an outgoing and friendly person. I like meeting new friends and exchange or share our experience with each other. I decided to go on solo travels so I can figure out what i really want to do with my life. I have a dream which is to travel and pay back to the community as long as I still have the ability. I think Couchsurfing is a good option for me to understand the local cultures and living styles.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to pay back to the community. As I'm growing,my compassion is growing stronger too. I was inspired by many volunteer activities and charities. I love the songs 'I was here' by Beyonce and 'Fill a heart' by Tori Kelly. As the lyrics say, I want to make a difference and left this world a little better just because I was here. With love,fill a broken heart. Feed a soul, fill a heart <3
I was also inspired by others' stories. There is a woman in USA started out by giving jackets to homeless people and later then she gathered them together to produce jackets as this pays them and solve their problems from the root. Another story is from Blake Mycoskie, he started his business 'Toms Shoes' and he uses 'One for One' to sell his shoes. A pair of shoes will be given to Argentine's children if a pair of shoes is sold.
I was very inspired and I want to use my ability to help others even if it is just by reaching out a hand.

Interests

I enjoy when I am in the gym,I'm obsessed with weightlifting and HIIT workout. I love watching dramas and shows!Especially HK's and Korean's. Another hobby of mine is to sing and listen to music all the time, and I would say I could sing pretty well :P
And of course travelling is my lifetime interest and dream!!

I love pop music in English, Korean, Chinese, and Cantonese. And sometimes EDM, it depends on my mood hehe.
For books, i love inspirational books, travel guides, and books that tell a story of a person.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm more than willing to teach languages as I know few of them. And culture and history of my country maybe?
I would also like to exchange life experience with you and I hope both of us can get something good from each other.
