Hello guys and girls! I am a teacher in my early thirties.
I am social and happy to meet people who are open and friendly.
I would say, I like fun conversations and like to joke around when its appropreate.
I like to travel and I like to get educated in cultural things. Stories from travelers are as well always very welcome.
I try to be very open-minded and without stereotypes and stuff and I try to see the people how they are, not how they look like.

At the moment, I teach at a german school in Riyadh and explore the middle east. Thats why also I learn arabic and do my very best to not forget more than I learn new.

PHILOSOPHY

That is really hard to say, because it is not constant at all. Still, there are a few ideas that inspire me.
- Since I am learning arabic for a variety of reasons, I think there is a quote of Marie Curie, which has a point: "Was man verstehen gelernt hat, fürchtet man nicht mehr." = "What you learned understanding, you don't frighten anymore." (To make it clear: I think most of the fear nowadays in the western society comes from the lack of understanding culture and culture starts with the language.)
- There is also a quote from my favourite book which says, that the question "why not?" is always stronger than the question "why?". So just do it and dont think about it too much!

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

The first time I surfed was in London with my friend and it was a worthwhile experience. So I would really like to host other people as well to give something back. Because that is what this is for, right? ;)

Interesses

I like Arts like: painting, drawing, writing, taking photos and filming. (Perhaps, thats why I studied art ;) )
I like as well: riding my speedbike, jogging, reading and much more

Films:
I love films and especially those that are trying to do it differently. I love films that are experimental. And furthermore, I like those, that are surprising in the end. So that you have to review the whole film to understand: "AH, its totally different than I thought, but it makes sense!"

I like so much different music. From Metalcore to Minimal. There has to be skills and a good realization.

Books:
I like books that are inspirational. I don't like copy-paste crime books. Nothing against crime books, but there are so many books looking the same and sounding the same.
My favourite book is: "Das größere Wunder" of Thomas Glavinic.
