Sobre mí

Heyyyyy you!
I'm an Italian traveller who constantly needs "fresh air", if you know what I mean. I'm 19, usually shy but during trips there's no reason to keep acting like that, right? I'll always be willing to try to leave my comfort-zone, therefore I think I might be quite flexible ahaahah

Dear hosts and guests:
⬇️⬇️ PLEASE READ THIS ⬇️⬇️

Following some experiences I recently had, I'm bound to specify that if I have been travelling long-term or if I feel energetically drained, I may NOT be talking to you all the time, even though I will always try to make the effort.
Sometimes here on Couchsurfing happens that you can be drained from your prior stays because you felt bad but some people really do expect you to put a mask on and interact with them no matter how you feel.
So please, I value a lot respect for emotions.
When I will be able to host, you can just be yourself with me, and I'll be myself, no pressure whatsoever to be something we are not whenever we don't feel like it.
Also, I feel the need to specify that I am straight, so guys please don't send awkward requests or ask them in person only to leave shitty references later on, because on Couchsurfing this can happen too as some people (both straight and homosexual) seem to use it as a tool for easy sex, got to be honest on this one.

So, as I respect, understand and value your emotions and States of mind, if you do the same I'll appreciate you even more as a person.
That's the only thing I wanted to say as a friendly request✨

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I'm here because I met a traveller who advised me this site, so...... here I am!
I subscribed to couchsurfing in order to travel the world while getting fluent with cultures still unknown to me. Before flying somewhere, I try to learn their native language and to speak it, it's a sign of respect, and there's a lot of travelling philosophy behind, in my opinion.
When I travel abroad I want to forget about being Italian and live the country as a local, only by this way I'll be able to truly experience the place and make it memorable. I hope you'll help me improve my philosophy :)

Algo increíble que he hecho

Well, this used to have a different story-telling when I first joined here on Couchsurfing...
Now I can say that I usually shoot for the stars while travelling and I'm kind of an extreme guy, looking for adrenaline experiences despite my quiet nature.

I love doing free climbing whenever I get the chance and I feel I can make it on my own, even though I'm not an expert and I've never practiced in gyms.

Hiked all the way up to Palacio Da Pena and other monasteries in Portugal)

Went to a nudist/naturist/whatever sauna for the first time in my life with my German host without knowing it was for naked people lol

Taught Italian in Hungary at my host's school that looked like Harry Potter's school in Hogwarts! That's probably one of the buildings I'll remember forever in my life, neo-gothic architecture is amazing, I wonder why school and universities are almost always gray and so awfully-looking :(

Went to the banya in Siberia during what was likely to be the coldest week of the year (that day at the banya was -25°C, but once it reached -37°C) and swam in the ice hole after the +100°C in the sauna and being whipped by a mistletoe's branch. I fell in love with that experience and I'll definitely do it again.
It's great if you feel blue, down or depressed and you need a MASSIVE wave of IMMEDIATE energy!
I can tell you, it's 100 times better than coffee ahahaah

Eaten and drunk ice-cream and wine for breakfast with my guest from Poland in Georgia, hi Patryk ;)

While hitchhiking from my Georgian home in Kutaisi to Baku I met an ex-professional soccer player and hitched a marshrutka at the Azeri border for the whole trip (8 hours or so) for free lol
I'll tell you more when we will meet!

I proposed a day out in the desert to my host in Kashan (Iran) and we ended up going together with his other guests, I wish I could stay longer for the night and catch the stars, but unfortunately that wasn't possible (we just stayed until 8pm but going back to the car was fun because my host didn't bring his shoes and cockroaches, insects and camels' shits appeared on the sand lol).
However, I managed to have a run and a fun chasing on the Maranjab's sand dunes and a jogging session in the salt desert with my host anyway!

I've made incredible friends through couchsurfing and many of them have turned out to be long-lasting relationships. It's an amazing community that gives people more than anyone could ever imagine and I hope to experience it more and more over time.
Next trip: Ushuaia (End of the World, Argentina) to Barrow (Northernmost point of Alaska, USA)!!!

P.S. I've also witnessed how sadly my Italian food is outraged abroad between people who store it in the fridge, start eating salads half way, mix all kinds of weird spices in my pasta, throw the water of the pasta away while cooking................ sigh. I'm crying for the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Pasta is not an opinion, it's a religion (although the pasta's world championships organised by Barilla were won by a Japanese chef with a fantastic idea, I must say)
Anyway, please guys don't kill an Italian or you might end up laughing too much all together

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Giacomo Leopardi used to say that happiness is just a small time laps between 2 sad moments.
Enjoy it!
And learn to appreciate sadness and be happy about it, it still means you're alive, we have to learn to appreciate such things.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

Stories, a calm atmosphere, Italian lessons (even if I wouldn't like to speak my native language while abroad), some nice time and music sharing. I love being quiet while admiring landscapes, therefore my hosts might feel a little bored with me, but we can have nice talks at home or in dead times!
Oh, and I can help cook some Italian food!
