Hello, couchsurfers! How's it going? 😃

I'm Leonardo Santos, a Brazilian guy that lives in Portugal since 2018. I'm 23 years old and I'm taking Software Engineering.

I'm someone who just loves life! It has so many things to show us, to do, to feel, to be. And because of that, I'm always excited about the next experience, the next place. About one year ago, for instance, I met the joy of running. It caught me up in a way that it became one of the things I must like to do. The run makes me feel alive and free.

Actually, sports are one of the great passions in my life. Since I was a little boy I had my rides on my bike, and like almost every Brazilian, I used to play soccer with my friends, cousins, and other neighbors. As a teenager, I started climbing mountains (hiking), and I met the beauty of tennis, which meant a life-changing for me (but that's a story for another time). Going to the gym make me happy too, but lately, I have missed some training 😅.

I also love nature as a whole. The trees, the plants, the animals (oh, how much I miss my dog), the valleys, mountains, waterfalls, the sea, and the sky always have fascinated me.

One of the others things that make life incredible to me, is the people that came across us on the way. Family is one of my foundations, the base that makes me who I am. And with my friends, I had wonderful experiences that I will never forget.

And, of course, traveling has recently become something that will put a smile on my face. I remember the first time I saw the Santiago Bernabéu Stadion. It was a dream come true. And when I had the opportunity to be in the Barcelona game and see Messi playing, I couldn't be more happy. As you might have guessed, yes, soccer is another passion in my life (Vamos, Flamengoooo 🎶).

But meeting castles, monuments, gardens, museums, famous streets, different architectures, squares, local food, and culture is always on my travel itinerary too.

Oh, I have to mention to you how much I love music (Ed Sheeran ❤️), books, games, food, podcasts, movies (Marvel 😍), cars, and the world of entrepreneurship. Those are things that we can't miss in a bio, right? 😄

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because of recent experiences I had, I figured out something that everybody always tells us: it is about people.

When you have someone to share a new drink, an exotic food, to go to the game support your team, or make something daring, it just becomes unforgettable. It's easier to laugh.

And Couchsurfing is exactly about connecting to people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sun May 8th, 2022 - I'll never forget this day because it was the first time I ran a half marathon (21km), and also the first time I participated in a competition in Europe. It was one of the most incredible things that ever happened to me!

The weather was perfect, the other runners around me were full of energy, and I was so excited about the whole thing that it marked me.

Let's go out for a run? I can teach you some fundaments about this passionate sport (believe me, it is not just run).

Not sports type? Ok, no problem. What about entrepreneurship? I can teach you how NOT to run a company 😅.

Oh! I got it! Technology is your thing, right? So let's code and talk about how a Tesla can drive by itself. It is crazy...

Let me ask you something...do you know how to swim? I can't swim!! If you teach me how to swim I'll be in eternal debt to you!
