About Me

I'm a friendly Portuguese who loves traveling, learning new languages and meeting new people.
I've traveled extensively through Europe and also backpacked through Southamerica.

I studied abroad for a year in Rome in 2015, which allowed me to travel all over Italy, make friends from all over the world and learn one the world's most beautiful languages, Italian!

Back in Lisbon after my year in Rome, I decided to join an international students' organization that helps and welcomes foreign students who come to Lisbon, which allowed to meet and befriend people from more countries than I can name.

In 2017 I did my second exchange abroad, this time for only 3 months in Mannheim, Germany, and once again it was a wonderful experience that allowed me to learn yet another language and befriend even more people from all over the world, I can now safely say that I have friends in every continent!

In the summer of 2017 I worked as a tour guide here in Lisbon, which means I can show you some of the best places here in the city.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Having travelled a lot myself, I understand the need that anyone who's travelling has for cheap accommodation and Couchsurfing is perfect for that.

Then there's the BIG PLUS of getting to know a new city through the eyes and recommendations of locals, meeting new people and making new friends.

I live right in the center of Lisbon, and I'm not only hosting but also more than willing to show travellers around the city and join them in any drinking or partying activity at night!

Interests

I like playing sports, music, traveling, sightseeing and going out for a drink. And obviously love meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love playing and listening to music and my favourite genre is Blues. Yet my tastes range all the way from Rock'n Roll to Reggaeton, depending on the mood and whether I'm listening to music at home or at a party, with friends. Being Portuguese I'm obviously a big fan of Fado as well.

Movies: I really like comedy and action movies. Also anything by Guy Ritchie or Quentin Tarantino.

Books: As for books I've always loved reading from a small age, I just wish I had more time to do it these days. Currently reading non-fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tomorrowland in 2012.

Interrailed through Europe in 2014.

Lived in Rome for a year.

Backpacked through Southamerica in 2017.

Speak 6 languages and counting.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach Portuguese, Spanish, English and Italian, as well as some guitar lessons.

Learn: I want to learn what it is like to live wherever you're from in the world, and hopefully a bit of your language and culture.

Share: Points of view, a drink and a good time!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Whoever hosts me will definitely try some Portuguese food cooked by yours trully, as well as have their own private concert if there's a guitar laying around.
