Overview
About Me
Both born and raised in Florence, me and Ylenia are a couple since ancient 2012.
I work as Commercial Manager for The Social Hub Florence hotel, part of an international Dutch chain. If you come to Florence feel free to pass by for a visit, the hotel terrace has one of the best skyline views!
Ylenia got a Master degree as Psychologist, she currently works in schools as a support teacher for students with physical or cognitive disabilites.
We are very active persons, physically and socially: I played piano, baseball and football (someone would call it soccer) for several years, while Ylenia is still into the volleyball championships. When we are visiting a new place we love to walk long distances rather than using public transports to see the real city and locals life, hidden behind the curtains.

From classical to progressive rock, from pop to jazz.
Any good movie or (audio)book.
I love to play piano.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I used to work at the Florence Opera House I assisted to amazing performances only 5 meters distant from artists, hidden in a secret spot invisibile to the crowd.
Crossed a big Italian lake on a completely self-made catamaran with my father.
Teach, Learn, Share
We could teach you basic Italian expressions
+ less popular hand gestures, or to
prepare a good espresso with traditional Moka.
We can give you some good advice about cultural and historical points of interest, restaurants, bars or interesting activities to do in Florence and in the countryside around it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Courtesy, respect, openness and a friendly approach. We are friendly and lively people who love to walk and discover, so we'll very likely be out all day long. When at home we can share our experiences with you, still respecting your privacy of course.
