About Me
Hey, I'm Leonie. I'm a Psychology grad student in Mannheim. My Spanish friend calls me a Bio-German. Maybe because I love muesli, practical things and the environment. I'm not the centre of the party, but easy to talk to!
Cities with unsightly to average looks but twice as much character and kindness I have called my home: Bochum, Mannheim, Portsmouth (UK), Chicago. It's a pattern. I get excited about coffee and cake :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In 2015 I spent my first semester abroad in Portsmouth, UK. That's when I first discovered Couchsurfing. I met great people who really helped me out a lot. They shared their couch with me while I was apartment hunting as well as their open ear and heart while I was still getting settled in a new city. I repeated making these kinds of experiences in 2018 while traveling in the US and Canada before spending five months studying in Chicago. I came to the conclusion that being part of this community connects us with people of similar mindsets all over the globe and that's super cool!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I visited Iceland, I had a cup of cocoa made with water from a hot spring right next to an ice cold glacier river - I found that pretty amazing!
