My name is Leonie Hegger, I am nineteen years old and highly interested in taking part of the couchsurfing program.

In order to reasonably use my spare time between my A-levels and my studies I would like to spend some time abroad. During my research for possible countries, I got fascinated by Canada. During my leisure time I ride together with my sister, play harp or act in the theatre and meet friends. In schooI I not only learned English as a foreign language, but since I have always been interested in new languages and cultures I also chose the subject of Spanish. My interest in other cultures and people leads to my love for travelling and getting to know different lifestyles. Thus I am really looking forward to gathering new experiences.

Getting granted the opportunity to work and travel in Canada would be a dream come true for me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is a really good opportunity to meet locals and get new experiences. This is one of the reasons why I am in the WWOOFing program too. I staid with three friends in different places in the USA and Canada so I came into contact with couchsurfing. Some hosts inspired me to do different things and I want to get more ideas for my trip across Canada and also for my general live.
I really like the idea of different people opening their homes to show each other their cultures, languages, food or music.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don’t have really favorite music but I love musicals and I listen to the radio and I love to read historical books or fantasy books. My favorite books are all the Narnia books, lord of the ring, Eragon and the book the three Musketeers written by Alexandre Dumas.
