Overview
About Me
Social Sciences student justifying her tendency to take breaks from university to travel and work as the search for a 'well-rounded' education.
I enjoy inspiring and thoughful discussions and spontaneous cool stuff, including, but not limited to, late-night walks through towns (and townships, though don't ask me how I got there), stumbling into random places with music to properly dance to, a game of volleyball, or climbs to the highest place I can find. Al fresco fanatic. Fast bikes and cold beer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe CS is about encountering others with a fundamental attitude of openness, spontaneity, curiosity and gratitude. Because there is more that opens the world than a credit card.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read primarily non-fiction, but the latest book I enjoyed was Salman Rushdie's Midnight's Children.
I enjoy listening to post-rock, experimental jazz, a lot of old school soul and blues, the really good stuff that came out in Seattle in the 90s and occasionally also this mellow electro-pop that's mushrooming these days.
Generally, open to any good suggestions!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cycling over 1100km alone and with minimal luggage.
Finnish sauna on day 4 of a self-sufficient hike in a National Park above the Polar Circle.
Hitchhiking from North London to Toulouse in less than 24 hours.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can show you how to knit, mend your clothes, teach you some German or English, draw your portrait, help in your garden or kitchen and tell you about my last journey or book.
I'm always up for a bike ride, a climb up the nearest high thing available, and would love to brush up my French, improve my Italian and Arabic or take your dog/cat/kid for a walk.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Everything I know and own, within bounds.
--> Bottomline: Don't ask for things you wouldn't ask your sister for.
