Hey there! I’m Leonie, 20 years old and from Germany.

I just finished my working holiday adventure in Australia after about 7 months abroad.

I have a great passion for traveling, exploring unknown places and getting to know new people and cultures. Being an extremely open-minded person, I love trying new things and making special experiences that will last! That’s why I found Couchsurfing to be perfect for me. I already met many amazing people through this platform and I’ll hopefully continue to do so in the future!

In my free time, I love spending time with friends and family, going for a walk, to a nice little café or just relaxing at a park or the beach.
To add, I am very passionate about all things Motorsport and also about keeping myself fit by hitting the gym regularly, going hiking, swimming or surfing.

For my future hosts, I‘d love them to show me around, let me be part of their daily life, tell me interesting stories and give me some secret insider tips! Still, if you’re busy, I’m also fine not hanging out too much.
I don’t care whether I sleep on a couch, a mattress on the floor or have my own room. I’m easy and grateful for every couch offer that I get because traveling is about the experiences you make and people you meet, not about sleeping in a fancy hotel ;)
Also, I don’t smoke ciggies but no worries if you do. As I said, I’m easy x

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Why not? I want to have the best possible experience living in a foreign country, including getting to know the culture and its people, exploring the country and finding secret spots that are far from tourists. Couchsurfing is the perfect place to do so!

So far, I’ve made many amazing friends through Couchsurfing and I’m sure that those friendships will last! CS gives you the opportunity to meet like-minded people who you might normally not find, so I’m really grateful for being on this platform and experiencing this beautiful way of seeing and living (in) a country! :)

Making my dream come true & traveling the world… some amazing examples of what I’ve done:

- flying over the beautiful Great Barrier Reef & Whitsundays
- couchsurfing on a boat in Cairns
- hiking & getting lost in Australian national parks… xD
- snorkeling with mantas and sea turtles on Bali
- climbing Pergasingan Hill on Lombok (Mt Rinjani next time!)
- being guided through a torrential river to see a waterfall on Lombok (just stupid shit, but worth it haha)
- trying a very special, mood-uplifting smoothie in paradise on the Gili islands- an experience in itself ;)
- spending one random day in Sri Lanka because my flight was canceled/ postponed

Also:
- going to many amazing concerts & festivals
- sitting in Senna‘s MP4/5B F1 car at Goodwood Festival of Speed & meeting Mika Hakkinen
- going on a desert safari in Egypt
